Design a Framework, not a Website...

Here's a great article on how with drupal, the best way to theme, is to use the code that's given to you by default, instead of rewriting what drupal spits out. Zen in particular gives you many hooks to develop your skins with.

Amor De Mi Alma by Miami Gay Men's Chorus

6:10 minutes (5.65 MB)

With words set from Garcilaso de la Vega, written in the 1500's, the words transcend time. This in one of the most beautiful songs we've performed.

Cake in my mouth!

A few weeks ago I went to the refreshmiami event that was held at my ex-company (is that even a term?) dotmarketing. It was great seeing everyone and was more of a social excuse to see the people I worked with for the past 5 years. Anyway, there's a pic of Maru with me and a cake in my mouth. Just my luck!

Stars and Stripes...

I've never considered myself patriotic. I've never really "got it". Like alot of young snarky latte-philes, I think I've written off patriotism as something that those who are in power seem to wield as a smoke screen to get the spotlight off them and on to those whose criticisms are "unpatriotic".

My film debut... 3 years ago!

Que Pasa USA, the documentary!

As some of you may know, my co-conspirator.. I mean co-creator Kareem Tabsch and I have had the itch to create a documentary on one of the most important shows to impact my upbringing. As a kid that grew up in Hialeah with an American father and a Cuban Mother, QPU always has had a special place in my heart. The impact it has had on me and countless viewers in South Florida for the past two decades has been imeasurable. My hopoe is that this film will truely bring this to life and share the experience of being a little Rhumba and a little Rock and Roll.
